March Boxy Charm Luxe

              This has been my first post in months, I have been very busy with work, and personal stuff. I recently had a new baby who is sleeping right now, they have been keeping busy the past few weeks. Now we stuck inside due to the corona virus threat, I don’t want to get sick so for the most part I have been staying inside. I don’t have to go back to work until next month so Im hoping the quarantine will be over then, Im starting to get cabin fever.

              This month I got the boxy luxe box, which is received every three months. Here are the products that I received for the month any my initial thoughts.

              Hello Charmer Eyeshadow Palette from Boxy Charm- I believe this is the product from the company. It’s a beautiful palette that’ is a mix of glitter, metallic, and matte shadows. The palette is very pigmented, however I find this palette is more for night time looks, and its not suitable for daytime/work place. At least for where I work this isn’t suitable, I work in office type environment. The names of the shadows are quite cute it has names like sneak peak, exclusive, and charmer. I did wear this palette out over the weekend, it wore well with little creasing, I wore it for about eight hours. I wore the shades sneak peak and cup of joe. I found that shadows were  very smooth and easy to blend.

Sol De Janeiro  Brazilian Bum Bum and Coco Cabana Cream Duo- I have had the Coco Cabana Cream before and loved the scent and found it to be really hydrating. I haven’t tried the Bum Bum cream yet, I do like the scent, I intend on buying the full size ones soon.

Murad Hydro Dynamic Ultimate Moisture for eyes- This one of the things I got to pick out for this months box. I have been trying out at night, it’s a thicker cream which is good I find that the thicker creams tend to be more hydrating. So far I have only used it for a few days I do find it to be hydrating for my eyes.

PMD Beauty Smart Facial Cleansing Device- I initially was excited to try this, I did try it to massage my skin care in, I thought it worked nicely. I prefer my Foreo Facial Cleansing device, because it is a little bit larger. It’s a device that I have been using for about three years now. I started with the original luna a few months ago I upgraded to the luna 3. For now the PMD device is the drawer of my nightstand.

Invisibobble- I love these so I was excited when I got more of these in this months box. I received these in a fabfitfun box last year, I have been using these since. I use them for my hair, and I find that they hold my hair really well, and when I take them out it doesn’t hurt. My oldest daughter likes them to but she prefers to wear them as bracelets, next to her scrunchies she wears.

Zaxie Ear Pave hoop Earrings- This is the other item I got to pick out for this months box. Im really into hoops right I actually don’t own a pair of silver hoops and I thought these were pretty so I picked them out. These earrings have the pave stones on the inside and the outside of the earrings I think makes them beautiful. I also wore these this past weekend and enjoyed them.

Becca Skin Love Glow Glaze Stick- I tested it out on my hand it’s a sheer shimmer stick, its really blend able and wearable. I think I will get a lot of use out of it, its work friendly. Initially when I opened up the box, I didn’t read the box it contains ingredients like avocado to brighten skin. I also tried this out this weekend, I found the formula to be a little sticky when applying it, I found that does dry down after a few mins. It gives this beautiful sheen to the skin.  I will be defiantly be wearing this to work a lot.

Nars Powermatte Lip Pigment-Give It up-It’s a beautiful deep maroon color I could see myself wearing this out on a date night or on the weekends. I like to play around and experiment with makeup on the weekends. Hopefully Ill get to wear this out soon.

              These are the products that I got in this months box, overall I think it was a pretty good box got an interesting mix of products that Im excited to wear have fun with. I hope everyone is staying safe indoors, those of you that have received the virus I pray for your recovery.

August Boxy Charm

This months theme was totally boxy charm its odd theme, I figured for the month of August they would about going back to school. There are a lot of people going back to school in August, unless you are like me well finished with school. I have been out of school for three years now, I graduated back in 2016 with my Masters Degree in Cyber Security. Anyway I was a little disappointed in what I received in this months box. I was hoping to get the Glass skin refining serum and the ace beauty cotton candy and ice latte.  I did receive my second order from Colourpop, so ill have that post up soon.

Becca Hydra Mist Set and Refresh Powder- I haven’t tried this yet Im still finishing up my Maybelline Fit Me Powder. I like a lot of the Becca products especially their highlighters so I think this will be nice setting powder.

Tarte Big Ego Mascara- I haven’t tried this mascara out yet either, I do like tarte cosmetics because they are made out of mostly plant based ingredients. I really liked their lights camera action mascara.

Wander Beauty Glow Ahead Illuminating Oil- I have used this a couple of times already, I felt that it gave my skin a nice healthy glow without being over the top. I used this under my foundation, and I felt like my foundation applied more smoothly after putting this on.

Ace Beaute Glimmer Eyeshadow Duo in Huckleberry and French- These shadows reminded me of the Colour pop super shock shadows, and the MAC Electric Cool eyeshadows. I believe the MAC shadows are discontinued, I have not seen them in while. I still have a couple they are almost gone. I really liked these types of shadows I find that they last on my lids longer and they are easy to blend and apply. I apply these with my fingers or a flat shader brush. These glimmer shadows really pigmented, I think the huckleberry shade is great shade for the fall.

Hollywood and Vine- long eyeliner pencil in black. I actually wore this yesterday its very pigmented, easy to apply, and didn’t irate my eyes at all. I did find that it did smudge after a while. It was sort of hot outside it was around 80 degrees, and I ran around the mall to. I think would be a great eye pencil to make a smokey eye look

July Boxy Charm

              This month’s box was all about being natural box which I found to be an interesting theme for the month of July. I would of thought the theme for the box would be waterproof summer makeup. In the humid weather makeup can just melt off your face, there is a good foundation out there that is sweatproof its Estee Lauder’s Double Wear Stay in Place Foundation. I wore this foundation at my wedding, a music festival, and other events, it really holds up. Here are the items that I received in my box this month.  

Butter London Natural Goddess Eyeshadow Palette

              The palette contains six eyeshadows, its very good quality the eyeshadows are very buttery and pigmented. They are very easy to blend, my favorite shades are the lighter shades in the palette they are very work friendly.

Elemis Superfood Vital Veggie Mask-

            I was really excited to get this my box, I really like their products. In one of the earlier boxy charm boxes I got a collagen cream in it, which I used every morning I really enjoyed it. I have tried this mask a couple of times its really nice so far it leaves my feeling very soft, and hydrated. It contains good for you ingredients such as avocado, kale, chia seed oils, and more.

Koh Gen Do Spa Cleansing water cloths

              These are nice thick cloths that remove makeup really well, however I think they are overpriced you can the makeup remover wipes from Neutrogena and save some money. I don’t typically don’t remove my makeup with wipes I use the Philosophy Purity Cleanser and my Luna Facial Cleansing Device.

Luxie Gaea Piece Brush Set

              This set comes a foundation brush, precision crease brush, and blending brush. I have only used the foundation brush so far and I really like it. I use it to apply skin masks, and I used this weekend to apply Boscia Black Charcoal Mask which is black. After applying the mask I was immediately it cleaned really well. I was afraid the mask my stain the brush bristles, but it didn’t.

Luna By Luna Lip Gloss in Mars

              Its pretty gloss its non sticky, it has just the right amount of shimmer in it. Its work wear friendly, its currently in my purse, I have been wearing it to work. It last about three or fours on me which is fine for me, after about four hours its time for lunch. I reapply it again for the afternoon.

              These are the things that I got in my boxy charm for this month my favorite products from  box have to be the Elemis Veggie Mask, the luxie brush set, and the luna lipgloss. June 19 Boxy Luxe

This is my third boxy luxe from boxy charm. I subscribed to them back in October. I had seen influencers on Instagram talking about, I saw that you could full size products in a subscription, getting full size products alone was intriguing.  Each box has a unique theme to it, this month’s theme is Getaway, I find that it’s a fitting theme since so many people are going on vacation. I don’t have any vacation plans for this summer, to much going on at work, I have a four-month-old, and some other things going on in my personal life. I do plan on going to Universal Studios in Orlando later this year probably in the fall. If you follow their Facebook page, they give hints as to what you may get in your boxy charm box. In my June boxy luxe here are the items I received

PYT Mini Turbo On the Go Dryer

              When I opened the box, this was the item at the top, it came with a portable hair dryer and two attachments, one of the attachments is a diffusor. I hardly ever use hair dryers anymore; I try not to use a lot of heat on my hair to begin with.  I don’t know if Ill use this hair dryer I may end up giving it away.

Dr Brandt Clean Biotic

              This is PH balanced yogurt cleanser, I saw that I was getting this last month. Boxy Charm had released a hint saying that all boxy luxe subscribers were going to be getting this. Its supposed to be a multi tasking cleanser that melts away dirt and makeup, without stripping your skin. The ingredients were not on the bottle I had to look them up on Sephoras website. It has lactic acid in which does help keep your skin keep its natural moisture. Update- I have tried this cleanser a few times now, it’s a creamy cleanser it left my skin feeling soft and hydrated after cleansing. It’s now becoming my morning cleanser.

Skin and Co Truffle Therapy Radiant Dew Mist

– When I took this out of the box I immediately tried it on my face, it has a minty smell to it. I found the spray to be very refreshing. and relaxing. I never tried anything from this brand. I like the spray so far, I am curious to see what facial products they have.



FARMACY-Honey moon glow

This is a AHA resurfacing night serum. I have not tried yet, but I have tried several other skincare products from this brand I have been very happy with the products I have tired.  I have tried the honey potion mask, honey salve, and their lip balm. My favorite thing about their products is it contains honey, which is very hydrating. I have very dry skin I find that their products help keep my skin hydrated.

Trestique Good vibes Mascara

I was very confused about what this actually was when I took it out of the box because it was so bulky.It contains an eyelash curler which is an interesting concept, I find it’s not really useful. I attempted to curl my lashes with it but I doubt only do it in sections because of the width of the curler, so that was annoying.  I prefer using my eyelash curler from Lancôme


Living Proof Full Dry volume. Blast

 I have a travel version of this already, I really like. it-It gives my heir more volume and lots of texture to my hair. So I was happy to get a full size version of this in the box.

Touch in SOL-No Pone Blem Primer Essence

I have not really tried to-many of their products, so I don’t have much of an opinion on them. I have another primer from them in my collection which I got from another body charm box. I am currently using the tony moley egg pore primer.

Tarte- Tartiest Pro Glow Palette V3

              I seen a preview in May of this palette all boxy luxe subscribers were going to get for the June luxe box, I really liked these types of palettes because they are palettes that I can use everyday vs the eyeshadow palettes. During the work week I don’t wear a ton of eyeshadow, I work with mostly men so nobody really cares to much what I look like. The name of shades in this palette are interesting, it contains names such dance floor, a lister, backstage, and more. I have a photo with some of the swatches on my hand.


Dominque Cosmetics- Lemonade Lipgloss in Peach Tea

              It’s a pretty pink lipgloss, its pretty pigmented, and its non-sticky. There is a sweet scent to it, reminds me of vanilla cupcakes.
