A couple of weeks ago on Instagram a makeup blogger I follow Trendmood had posted a limited edition collection from Revlon featuring model Ashley Graham. I also follow Ashley Graham on Instagram but I didn’t see anything about on her Instagram. I seen the swatches of the face/eye palette on Trendmoods Instagram I knew I had to have it for the summer. There are two kits available to buy on Amazon one contains an face/eye with kit lipgloss, the other kit contains a lipgloss and a body highlighter. This collection is exclusive to Amazon.
Tropical Vibes Post Beach Glow Face and Eye Kit – The face/eye kit contains a highlighter, a bronzer, and eyeshadows. The bronzer has some beautiful gold shimmers in it. It also has bold metallic blue named Blue Lagoon I wear this on a night out. They came up with some nice summery names for the kit such as Body Heat, Sandy Beach, Summer Madness and More
The lip gloss that came with it is white shimmery gloss, it leaves a pearl like sheen when you wear it. Its not sticky, and it feels very comfortable. The gloss is called Island Hopping.
I am considering buying the other kit because I want to try the body highlighter. I rather impressed wit how Amazon packaged very securely, I was worried I would have a broken palette in the mail. Amazon has a history of not packing makeup securely. Have you purchased anything from this collection?
Its been a interesting few weeks since being on lockdown since mid March, I haven’t gotten out much only to get groceries and such. I have also been on maternity leave since the 17th February. I have now returned to work it feels strange, Im not allowed to go back to the office. Im strict work from home orders until May 4 at this point in time. Im sure it will be extended again, that’s how it seems to be working. I have found some things at Walmart that I wanted including some limited edition stuff from Milani.
I found two of the Milani Ludicrous Lights Duo Chrome Highlighter Pink Aroo, and Lollapa Blue Za. I couldn’t get my hands on the peach on it was sold out. I did see it was available on their site so I may place an order to get it.
Milani Green Goddess Cannabis Stavia Seed Oil- Im beyond excited to see drug store products with hemp/cannabis in it. I have been using the oil during the day time. I find that calms the redness on my face. I have a bit of rosacea on my cheeks. I also found the oil to be very hydrating, which is great for my dry skin.
Clean and Clear Watermelon Juicy Scrub and Gel Moisturizer. I like watermelon a lot, so I decided to try them. The gel moisturizer smells just watermelon, its hydrating, and it absorbs easily. I find that there is a not lot of product, so it may last you two weeks. If you have teenage girls in the house in may last a couple of days. I got try it for a couple of days and then it was gone but it was around five bucks so it wont break the bank. I think it’s a good day time moisturizer. The juicy scrub smells just as good as the moisturizer, I find that It is hydrating, and it’s a gentle scrub.
Physicans Formula Organic Wear Double Cleansing Oil- I have been using this for about a week or so Its not like other oil cleansers I have tried. Most oil cleansers emsulify when mixed in with water this one doesn’t. The texture is more gel like, but it does get the job. It does a do a good job at removing makeup. I do follow up with another cleanser after I use this.
These were some of my finds during this crazy time, I also some stuff I ordered from Amazon, Nars, more stuff from Physicans Formula, and a skincare haul from Sephora. Im really excited for my haul from Sephora I ordered some things from Tatcha.
This is a subscription box for jewelry, I have been a member of Rocksbox for a few years now, I have purchased several pieces of jewelry from them. They have variety of brands to choose from such as Kate Spade, Sophia Harper, Gorjana, Kendra Scott, and many more.
These are the pieces that I have in my current set-
Kendra Scott- Miku Earrings- These have a pretty metallic gold frame and look feminine and delicate.
Aster Pluma Drops- These are shaped like feathers, and have little stones in the middle. \
Kendra Scott-Kacey Necklace- This is a gold long pendent necklace in white mother of pearl I have earrings that are similar to this necklace, I think they go quite well together.
I really enjoyed everything in March’s box so I purchased all three items. I don’t know when I will get a new set from Rockbox because its distribution center is here in Ohio where I live, its not considered an essential business so its currently shut down. Once everything opens back up Ill have a new box. Here in Ohio a lot of non essential businesses are shut down so a lot of places here are ghost town. During this crazy time I get to go back to work. My company that I work for provides products for companies that essential to our infrastructure. I am very fortunate that I get back to work next week, I will be working from home until things improve I hope everyone is staying safe and healthy.
This has been my first post in months, I have been very busy with work, and personal stuff. I recently had a new baby who is sleeping right now, they have been keeping busy the past few weeks. Now we stuck inside due to the corona virus threat, I don’t want to get sick so for the most part I have been staying inside. I don’t have to go back to work until next month so Im hoping the quarantine will be over then, Im starting to get cabin fever.
This month I got the boxy luxe box, which is received every three months. Here are the products that I received for the month any my initial thoughts.
Hello Charmer Eyeshadow Palette from Boxy Charm- I believe this is the product from the company. It’s a beautiful palette that’ is a mix of glitter, metallic, and matte shadows. The palette is very pigmented, however I find this palette is more for night time looks, and its not suitable for daytime/work place. At least for where I work this isn’t suitable, I work in office type environment. The names of the shadows are quite cute it has names like sneak peak, exclusive, and charmer. I did wear this palette out over the weekend, it wore well with little creasing, I wore it for about eight hours. I wore the shades sneak peak and cup of joe. I found that shadows were very smooth and easy to blend.
Sol De Janeiro Brazilian Bum Bum and Coco Cabana Cream Duo- I have had the Coco Cabana Cream before and loved the scent and found it to be really hydrating. I haven’t tried the Bum Bum cream yet, I do like the scent, I intend on buying the full size ones soon.
Murad Hydro Dynamic Ultimate Moisture for eyes- This one of the things I got to pick out for this months box. I have been trying out at night, it’s a thicker cream which is good I find that the thicker creams tend to be more hydrating. So far I have only used it for a few days I do find it to be hydrating for my eyes.
PMD Beauty Smart Facial Cleansing Device- I initially was excited to try this, I did try it to massage my skin care in, I thought it worked nicely. I prefer my Foreo Facial Cleansing device, because it is a little bit larger. It’s a device that I have been using for about three years now. I started with the original luna a few months ago I upgraded to the luna 3. For now the PMD device is the drawer of my nightstand.
Invisibobble- I love these so I was excited when I got more of these in this months box. I received these in a fabfitfun box last year, I have been using these since. I use them for my hair, and I find that they hold my hair really well, and when I take them out it doesn’t hurt. My oldest daughter likes them to but she prefers to wear them as bracelets, next to her scrunchies she wears.
Zaxie Ear Pave hoop Earrings- This is the other item I got to pick out for this months box. Im really into hoops right I actually don’t own a pair of silver hoops and I thought these were pretty so I picked them out. These earrings have the pave stones on the inside and the outside of the earrings I think makes them beautiful. I also wore these this past weekend and enjoyed them.
Becca Skin Love Glow Glaze Stick- I tested it out on my hand it’s a sheer shimmer stick, its really blend able and wearable. I think I will get a lot of use out of it, its work friendly. Initially when I opened up the box, I didn’t read the box it contains ingredients like avocado to brighten skin. I also tried this out this weekend, I found the formula to be a little sticky when applying it, I found that does dry down after a few mins. It gives this beautiful sheen to the skin. I will be defiantly be wearing this to work a lot.
Nars Powermatte Lip Pigment-Give It up-It’s a beautiful deep maroon color I could see myself wearing this out on a date night or on the weekends. I like to play around and experiment with makeup on the weekends. Hopefully Ill get to wear this out soon.
These are the products that I got in this months box, overall I think it was a pretty good box got an interesting mix of products that Im excited to wear have fun with. I hope everyone is staying safe indoors, those of you that have received the virus I pray for your recovery.
