Earlier this week I ran out of my self tanner lotion so I needed and to get some more. My favorite brand of self tanner is St Tropez, I was browsing the different versions of the self tanner, I came across an inshower body self tanner lotion by St Tropez. I was surprised they had in shower version, I tried this morning it was ok it wasn’t very hydrating It did give me a nice glow. It is 25 dollars on Amazon. This is not a lotion that i could use every day, just because it’s not hydrating enough. I have very dry skin. I also picked up these metallic gel pens that are from china they have a nice fine tip for writing.
I wanted a leather band for my apple watch so i decided to get the Hermes leather single tour watch band in Fauve. I liked the tan color thought it would go great with spring and summer outfits. It came in the Hermes standard orange packaging. Then the bands were stored in this grey cloth. I think i may order the band in black too. I am looking for another watch band that looks like jewelry for when I go to the office.
Nars came out with their summer collection called the summer soltice. It wasn’t a very big collection compared to last year’s collection. They had cream bronzer in this collection which i was excited about because i can wear it to the pool this summer. Cream based makeup lasts longer in the pool. In this collection there were a couple of brozers, and a eyeshadow palette. I bought the bronzers i skipped the eyeshadow palettes because i dont need another eyeshadow palette.
I purchased the summer solstice bronzer and the sunkissed bronzing cream in laguna. The bronzer has a highlighter in it, the powder is finely millled and pigmented. There is a perfume scent to both bronzers that i don’t necessarily care for. The cream bronzer is nicely pigmented and blends very easily into the skin, I actually wear the cream bronzer more than the powered one. I am older im in my mid 30s so my skin is very dry so the cream formula works well for me. I think both products are really good i recommend them for the summer.
I purchased both products from Nordstrom and are exclusive to Nordstrom. Did you get anything from this summers collection?
Recently Sephora had a sale where you could save a certain percentage on everything. I am a vib member so i got 15 percent off. I got mostly skincare stuff that seems to be what i am buying most days. Im still working from home so im not wearing much makeup except on the weekends.
I did pick up a new perfume by Aletier Cologne called orange sanguine. Its fresh citrus scent that smells like oranges, and jasmine. I actually had a sample of this a couple years ago and loved the scent. I decided to get a bottle. The next scent I want to get a full size of is Rose Prick by Tom Ford.
Sunday Riley Ceo glow vitamin c and turmeric face oil. I have been using vitamin c and a retinol to clear up my hormonal acne scaring from my past pregnancies. I use a vitamin c serum in the morning and retinol at a night. I also use an leave on exfoliatant to help clean up my pores. Since i have been treating my face its become more dry and irritated. I find that using facial oils definitely help my dry skin. I have used both the luna and juno facial oils from Sunday riley before and they worked very well on my skin. Im excited to try this oil
I got couple of things from the inkkey list the vitamin c moisturizer and turmeric moisturizer. I tried a couple of things from their line. The rose hip oil and a ceramide night treatment, i thought these were good products. Im excited to try these products.
Bobbi brown crushed jelly stick in lilac. This is my second one i also have tahiti its bright pink shade. I find these to be hydrating and to be a nice sheer wash of color.
Lastly I purchased a Sephora waterproof brow pencil in ebony. I havent tried this so i don’t know what to think about it yet. I usually use the benefit brow pencils.

It’s been a while since I have posted I have been busy with my now 11 month old son, working nonstop, and etc. COVID is still here I wish it would just all go away and everything could return to normal. I miss going to the office, I have been working from home since I came back from maternity leave in April. I have been to the office once that was back in July. Now we are going into November time flies.
Since COVID started I haven’t been wearing as much makeup as I used to. I have been wearing and buying more skincare. I have be trying all kinds of brands from tatcha, the inkey list, the ordinary and more. I have been wanting to try biossance skincare for some time now. I ended up placing an order on their site. I bought three things to try. A few days later I placed an order on Sephora.
Squalene and bamboo deodorant- I like the ingredients and it has a nice smooth texture. I do find that it’s hard to open it in order to use it. I’m not a fan of the packing at all. It has a nice clean scent to it, the scent reminds me walking through a forest. I’m not sure if I’ll buy it again because of the packing. I think I’ll go back to my kopari cbd deodorant that I enjoy so much. I find that it doesn’t perform very well, it doesn’t seem to last longer than 2 hours. I don’t sweat that much during the day especially during the week I work at home currently.
Squalene tea tree detox mask This has been on my wish list for some time. I tried over the weekend. I find that it helped calmed my skin and made it feel very smooth. It has ingredients such tea tree oil that helps cleanse the skin of all bad stuff. I bought this for my hormonal breakouts that I had gotten from being pregnant. I feel like it really helps cleans out the garbage from my pores and reduces the amount of breakouts that I have.
Squalene Lactic Acid Resurfacing Night Serum
This has 10 percent latic acid to help exfoliate skin at night, I find it helps exfoliate my skin at night, when I wake up in the morning my skin looks brighter. The dark spots from my acne scars seem a little bit lighter.
Squalene Vitamin C Rose Oil
This oil is supposed to help brighten and firm your skin. Im not sure about the firming part. I do feel that it helps brighten the skin and smooth my skins texture overall. I find that its quite hydrating and soothing to skin.
Squalene Rose Vegan Lip Balm
I find this to be a very hydrating lip balm its on the thicker side which I like especially during the winter when the weather is cold. Its supposed to plump your lips, I don’t know about that my lips are full enough. Its got a nice light scent to it that’s not overpowering and it goes on clear.
