So a few weeks back there was a sale on the Fabfitfun site, I saw this cream purchased it. I tend to purchase anything that says redness relief. I have tried a few other things from Dr Brandts line, they are on the pricy side I think. A lot of their products I know including this cream can be purchased at Sephora. I paid 24 USD for it, on the Sephora site its listed at 55 USD.
This cream has a gel like texture that has a cooling affect when applied. I like to use this as a daytime moisturizer, I usually will apply after getting out of the shower. This is when my skin is most irritated since I take hot showers. I find that the moisturizer really helps reduce the redness on my face. I will say its not most hydrating moisturizer so this is not a moisturizer I would use in the winter. For the summer its perfect its lightweight, absorbs easily, its cooling on the skin, and it helps reduce redness. So Ill probably purchase it again before the summer is over.
A while back I found this brand on Instagram and was immediately interested trying it, because the way founder of the brand described the products, and the price point. You can buy several products for 70 dollars which I think is great. I have really invested into skincare since Covid happened. I stopped wearing makeup everyday, I was home all the time, since my job became completely remote. I even switched jobs and Im still remote which is nice I can see my kids more. Also I did order some more items that will come in the mail later in the week. I will create a post for those when the order comes in. I have listed the cost of everything I purchased.
Here are the items I purchased
Niacinamide Cleansing Gelee- This is very gentle gel cleanser, I started using this as my second cleanser. I find that it lathers well and it leaves your face feeling soft. It contains niacinamide, hyaluronic acid, and vitamin c. Its supposed to help reduce dark spots, and uneven texture. I haven’t used it enough to notice a difference. Cost-18 USD
Fermented Camelia Creamy Cleansing Oil- I tried this out for the the first time the other day, I was really impressed. I warmed it up my hands before putting it on my face, I found that it really took off all my makeup, and grime. I use this as my first cleanser in my night time routine. Cost- 20 USD This is currently sold out online on their site but you might be able to find it at Target.
Hyaluronic Acid Essence- Im big believer in using essences twice a day, I find they really help hydrate the skin, and prep the skin for serums, and etc. I haven’t used this one yet so Im not sure what I think of it yet, Im finishing up my Cosrx Advanced Snail Essence which I really enjoy. Cost 16 USD.
Azelaic Acid Emulsion- This contains 10% Azelaic Acid which is supposed to calm down redness in the skin and help even out skin texture. I purchased mainly because my face is sensitive and I get patches of redness where my skin is irritated and dry. I have only used maybe once or twice randomly so Im not sure what I think of it yet. Cost 22 USD.
Even though I havent tried many of the products purchased, they will eventually get worked in my everyday skincare routine. I have been using more skincare and trying to practice self care more since Covid. I encourage everyone to try to practice some form of self care and remember to be kind to yourself.
So a couple of weeks ago I made a purchase on Lawlessbeauty.com and QVC’s website. I have been wanting to try out makeup from Annies makeup line. I was fan of hers before Lawless beauty even came out. Then on Instagram I saw a post from Trendmood on a new foundation from Tarte. I wanted to try that.
Here is what I purchased from Lawless Beauty –
Loose Setting Powder in Golden Translucent- I was really impressed with the packaging, the powder came in this sleek black box, in the box is the container that contains the powder. It’s a finely milled powder that helps set makeup well.
Lucid Skin Highlighter in Afternoon Delight- More impressive packaging, the highlighter is in a sleek black compact that has magnetic closure. It also contains a mirror. The highlighter is finely milled and has a metallic sheen to it. Which I like the metallic sheen in most highlights it makes my skin look healthy.
Soft Matte Liquid Lipstick in Leo the packing on this nice it’s a sleek frosted case with a doe foot applicator. Leo is warm peachy nude color. I haven’t worn it really all that much. I have been wearing lip balms and lip tints here recently.
Here is what I purchased from Tarte Beauty
Hydroflex Serum Foundation in medium sand- I saw this foundation being released on Trendmood instagram page, on the QVC site. On the QVC site the foundation was being sold with brush that can be used to apply the foundation. The brush is a soft dense brush which I think it will make it easy to apply the foundation. I haven’t tried the foundation yet I have been finishing up my Misha BB cream.
Hydrocealer in tan sand- this came with a blending sponge that can be used to blend it out. I normally use a lighter concealer for my undereyes. I don’t wear a ton of concealer since the BB cream that I wear covers the redness pretty well. I think the concealer that I got is a bit darker than I what I would like it to be but Ill make it work.
These are the things I have gotten from Lawless beauty and Tarte Cosmetics. Lawless Beauty just came out with new mascara that I am interested in trying. I probably be placing another order soon.
For the month of April I only made it through three books. It’s been busy month at work, its been a good month at work im really proud of the testing i have been doing.
